Ayesha Rumi
Ayesha Rumi is a Lahore-based visual artist and educator working across installation, drawing, mixed media, and material experimentation. She holds an MFA (Valedictorian, 2021) from Syracuse University, New York, and a BFA with Distinction from Beaconhouse National University, Lahore.
Her work has been exhibited internationally, with highlights including Imago Mundi at the Venice Biennale (Italy), Mise En Scene at Villa Heike (Berlin), Other Fragments at Das Giftraum (Berlin), Distant at Governors Island (New York), Tracings at Living Gallery (Brooklyn, New York), and Carrying the Thick Present: Trauma at the Community Folk Art Center (Syracuse, New York). In Pakistan, she has exhibited at HAAM Gallery, Dominion Gallery, Satrang Gallery, The Reservoir Gallery, and Alhamra Art Gallery.
Alongside her studio practice, she teaches Cambridge O and A Level Art & Design, and has guided students to multiple World and National Distinction awards. Her work explores language, memory, and the social structures that shape perception and identity.
