My name is Farooque Hussain. Originally from Pir Jo Goth, District Khairpur Mirs, I am a 23-year-old textile designer in the making, currently based in Lahore. While studying at the National College of Arts, I have been shaping my creative voice and pushing my boundaries with every project.
My journey with textiles is deeply hands-on. I have spent years mastering a wide range of embroidery techniques, from intricate handwork to experimental, contemporary approaches. For me, fabric isn’t just material; it’s a surface that holds stories.
During my internships at brands like Sapphire and Limelight, I experienced the pace and precision of the industry firsthand. Those environments taught me how to translate ideas into designs that are both visually compelling and production-aware. I learned to balance creativity with deadlines, detail with efficiency, and individuality with brand identity.
I am hardworking to the core—the kind of person who will redo a piece until it feels right and who notices the smallest inconsistencies. I believe that good design comes from patience as much as talent. I am constantly observing and refining my craft with the goal of creating work that feels intentional, timeless, and personal.
