Roheen Ghauri
Roheen Ghauri is a Lahore-based, multidisciplinary visual artist whose practice spans painting, animation, and visual communication design. Drawing inspiration from common stories, social narratives, and timeless legends, her work explores the delicate tension between beauty, intimacy, and underlying danger within natural and imagined landscapes. She holds a Master’s degree in Multimedia Arts from the National College of Arts, Lahore.
Ghauri has participated in several residencies, including a three-month artist-in-residence program at COLABS (CCC AIR) in Lahore. During this time, her research-focused practice engaged with themes of the city, technology, and nature, culminating in a group exhibition. She also completed a two-week residency at Tasweerghar, Lahore, which concluded with a public exhibition centered on notions of home and lived space.
Her work has been exhibited extensively across Pakistan, with notable shows including Ecologies of Being at The Reservoir Art Gallery, Stars of Tomorrow 2025 at the Pakistan Art Forum, and multiple exhibitions at COLABS. Internationally, her work has been featured at the VASL Artists’ Association in Karachi, the Lahore Design Festival, and the Winnipeg Art Gallery in Canada, where she was showcased after receiving third prize in the 2023 Islamic Art Competition. Alongside her studio practice, she has held professional roles in design and creative leadership, enriching her interdisciplinary approach to contemporary art.
